Potentiometer can be used to measure resistance, current, voltage and calibration of an ammeter.

A potentiometer is a type of mechanical measuring device with various applications. A potentiometer consists of a pointer and a spring. The pointer is fixed to the base of the spring and it is adjusted by rotating it in one direction or another using the screw on top.

Potentiometer is an important instrument in any industrial application. As a simple device, potentiometer can be used to measure resistance, current and voltage directly. With some calibration, potentiometers can be used to measure the calibration of an ammeter as well.
