Rice is a staple food for 1 billion people worldwide, but many people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance are unable to eat rice as their diet requires.
When someone says the word “gluten” in reference to food, most people immediately think of wheat. However, there are many other sources of gluten that you might not know about. Rice is one of those sources and you can’t eat rice without gluten if you’re on a gluten free diet.
