      Convex mirrors reflect the light in a round shape, whereas concave mirrors take light and form an elliptical shape. Hence, concave mirror is more easy to see and notice. However, convex mirror is more difficult to spot. It is better to differentiate between concave mirror and convex mirror before focusing on either the side of the mirror or you are looking at the mirror from different directions. Also, concave mirror is preferred over convex mirror.

      Convex mirror is also known as conic mirror. You should note that conic mirror covers the whole surface of a sphere.

      Concave mirror is another kind of mirror. The area of a convex mirror is not even and spindle shaped. It is spherical in shape. But, concave mirrors also known as vesica piscis mirrors.

      Concave and convex mirrors differ in shape and size. It can be possible to differentiate them by eye. However, for the purpose of composing your vase, you can refer to the image below:
