Answer: When people see your muscles bulging, they are inclined to think that you are strong. And because strong people often have higher social status, more power, or greater opportunities for professional advancement, having muscles can make you more attractive even if you’re not also handsome.
If the girls only had enough hands to put them all on one guy’s biceps at once-and it would be for this reason alone that she would pick him above all others present-. It is with good reason that triceps and biceps are so inflated in the muscle pumping ads of bodybuilding legend Lee Priest. Women judge men on two things- – how good looking they are and how strong they appear to be. A man who knows his way around a gym has an unfair advantage when it comes to captivating the imagination of women.
Answer: Emotional and cognitive effort is a component of attractiveness which has been overlooked. Heterosexual men with a higher degree of muscularity are “uglier” because they have to put out more energy to attract women. However, homosexual men find this exaggerated masculine form of the male body more attractive because it communicates supreme masculinity, that is both hardworking and robust.
In other words, heterosexual men that want to attract women will most likely try harder not only in their physical appearance but also by the way they interact with others on an emotional level and certain cognitive tasks such as mind games or mental challenges can be used as well (in moderation). Men who don’t make the same effort may rely mostly on superficial bodily charm and physical beauty which women tend to view as less important in men.
