The thought that people might not want to use all of the computers in the lab for just one project made him decide to invent the World Wide Web.

The World Wide Web is an application that allows many people to simultaneously access the same information. The idea that some people may not want to use all of the computers in one lab, for just one project, could have led Tim Berners-Lee to invent it so that all users would be able to access any piece of information at any time.
