Answer is All of the above
Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit (1686–1736) was a German physicist and inventor. He is best known for inventing the mercury thermometer (1714) and developing the Fahrenheit temperature scale (1724), which is still commonly used in many parts of the world today.
Born in Poland to a family of German extraction, he later moved to Amsterdam and then to England where he established a successful instrument-making business. He was a pioneer of exact thermometry, having created accurate thermometers using alcohol and water-mixtures to achieve a temperature scale. For seven years, Fahrenheit worked out an alcohol thermometer scale based on three points: the freezing point of a certain salt-water mixture for zero, the body temperature of humans for 96, and the boiling point of water to be 212. His temperature scale has been widely accepted and is still in use in many parts of the world today.
