There are numerous possible solutions to try because the causes of a faulty Bluetooth connection can vary. Here are the most effective methods for resolving common Bluetooth issues in Windows 10.

    1. Ensure that Bluetooth is turned on. Bluetooth on Windows 10 computers and tablets is sometimes accidentally disabled. Select the system tray icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to open the Windows 10 Action Center, then check the Bluetooth icon to see if it’s turned on. Bluetooth is turned off if the light is dim. Toggle on Bluetooth by selecting the icon.
    2. If you use Windows 10 Flight mode while flying, remember to turn it off once you’ve landed. WIFI, location settings, and Bluetooth are all disabled by this setting. To do so, go to the Action Center and click the Flight mode tile.
    3. Restart Bluetooth by turning it on and off.  Any connectivity issues can usually be resolved by performing a quick reset of the Bluetooth settings.  This forces your device to look for Bluetooth devices on its own. Open the Windows 10 Action Center, select the Bluetooth tile to turn it off, wait a few seconds, and then select the Bluetooth tile again to turn it on.
    4. Close the distance between the Bluetooth device and the Windows 10 computer. Your Bluetooth device may be out of range of your Windows 10 computer or tablet. When making the initial connection, place one next to the other.
    5. Check to see if the device you’re using supports Bluetooth. While Bluetooth is widely used by smart devices, it is not used by all. If the product’s packaging or instruction manual don’t mention Bluetooth, it’ll have to connect to a Windows 10 device via another method, such as Wi-Fi or a cable.
    6. Connect the Bluetooth device to the computer. To connect to a Windows 10 computer, a Bluetooth device must be turned on. If the pairing process takes a long time and no activity is detected, your Bluetooth device may turn off. If it shuts down, turn it back on.
    7. The Windows 10 computer should be restarted. Many Windows 10 issues, including those related to connecting to a Bluetooth device, can be resolved with a simple restart. Open the Start menu, select the Power button, and then Restart to restart a Windows 10 device.
    8. Keep an eye out for a Windows 10 update. Installing the most recent version of Windows 10 on your computer or tablet keeps it secure and assists you in pairing your Bluetooth device by downloading any missing files. Make sure your device is connected to a power source before performing a Windows 10 update. The process can deplete battery power, and if the Windows 10 device turns off while installing an update, serious errors can occur.
    9. Other Bluetooth devices should be turned off. Even though this should not be a problem with modern computers, having multiple Bluetooth devices paired can make pairing new ones difficult at times. Turn off all other hardware that connects to your Windows 10 computers via Bluetooth during the initial pairing phase.
    10. Make sure there are no Bluetooth conflicts. When paired with multiple computers, tablets, or smartphones, some Bluetooth devices have trouble connecting. Turning off Bluetooth on all but one of the smart devices and computers can resolve these conflicts. Some fitness trackers have issues connecting to multiple devices at once. It’s best to pair your fitness tracker with either your smartphone or your computer, not both.
    11. Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter in Windows 10. Built-in troubleshooter program in Windows 10 scan a computer for specific problems and fix them. Open the Start menu and go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Bluetooth to start the Bluetooth troubleshooter.
    12. Remove and re-add the Bluetooth device.  Select Settings > Devices from the Windows 10 Start menu.  Locate and select your Bluetooth device from the list of mobile networks.  After that, choose Remove device.  Pair the device after restarting the computer.  This procedure frequently resolves any issues that arose during the initial Bluetooth pairing.
