Jaundice is an acute condition that affects the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. It normally occurs when your body is fighting off a viral infection. In the first 24 hours of jaundice, you might need to stay at a hospital for treatment. If you have jaundice for more than three days, you will need to stay in the hospital longer.

Jaundice is often accompanied by high fevers and abdominal pain. Jaundice can be caused by a number of reasons like anemia or hepatitis infection. Symptoms are also often confused with other conditions like diabetes or heart disease too.

In normal circumstances, it takes about 15 days for your liver to completely recover from jaundice.

Jaundice is a disease which causes yellowing of skin and eyes, dark urine, and light-colored stool. The jaundice is caused by an excess of bilirubin in the blood. Moreover, for normal recovery from jaundice, it takes around 3-6 weeks.

Jaundice is a disease that affects the skin and eyes turning them yellowish in color. It’s also known as icterus and it can also cause black urine and stool in babies (jaundiced babies). In most cases, jaundice will subside after 3-6 weeks but may take up to 6 months for full recovery. There are other factors that can make or break the speed of recovery from jaundice such as any underlying condition like liver failure or heart failure.

Jaundice, or yellow skin and eyes, is caused by the buildup of bilirubin in the body. The condition can be treated with medications or can be prevented with a diet low in bilirubin.

The amount of time it takes to recover from jaundice depends on many factors, including:

      • – The severity of the infection.
      • – The level of bilirubin in the blood.
      • – If there are other health conditions that slow down recovery times.

Jaundice is a serious condition that can cause both short- and long-term complications. The condition can occur for a number of reasons, such as viral hepatitis A, B, or C infection, excessive alcohol use, gallstones in the liver, or bile duct blockage.

Jaundice is usually treated with an IV injection of Vitamin K and polyethylene glycol (PEG). This treatment will take about 3 hours to complete. Patients may also be prescribed an oral medication to reduce the risk of bleeding during the recovery period.

The duration of jaundice depends on many factors including age and body weight. For example a baby under 6 months old may recover from jaundice within 2 weeks while adults who weigh more than 100 pounds may need over 1 month to recover.
