We are always so busy with so much to do. Sometimes we ask ourselves, “Where do I even start?”
You should write down the things that need to be done daily and then write down the extra things that you would also like to get done. You have to find short cuts to the things you do regularly. One way of doing this is to decide if something can be done every other day. Another way is to decide if we can just do a quick job on something one day.
Another thing you may want to do is getting help doing some of the things we need to be done. Try asking a friend, neighbor, or family member. Another option available is hiring a student from the neighborhood for a couple of hours after school.
But any which way you decide, make a plan, write out a schedule. It would be best to have two schedules; one for daily things as well as one for the other things that you would like to get done. For things that need to get done as soon as possible, add a check next to it. Cross off things as you finish them.
You need to find a time and learn to relax to help relieve your stress.
“Relax?” you say. “How am I supposed to relax? I have way too much to do to find time to relax!” Well, if you do not find time to relax, you are going to wear yourself down, you will become fatigued, you will be moving slower, resulting in the same finish time whether you take a break or not.
Relaxation Tips:
You should have a couple of short relaxation times scheduled throughout your day. Even if they are only 10-minute breaks. Those breaks are NOT to be used to decide what to do next. They should be used to RELAX.
Basic Meditation:
Find a nice quiet area if possible. Take a few deep breaths, relax your body and mind. Try not to think about anything. The best way to do this for starters is to get a timer until you get used to taking breaks and relaxing or you will be spending just about the entire time watching the clock.
