^{2}. Where kg is a person’s weight and m^{2}is height in meter squared.BMI applies most adults between 25 – 65 years. BMI more than 25.0, that tells the person is fat. BMI 18.5 to 24.9 shows the person is healthy

Formula for USC units:BMI = 703 x Mass(lbs) / height

^{2}(in)Formula for SI, Metric units:BMI = Mass(kg) / height

^{2}(m)With an example it’s easy to understand. As you mentioned the personage is 42 by assuming their weight is 85kg and height would be around 170 cm = 1.7 m.

Let’s apply the formula

BMI = kg/m

^{2}BMI = 85/1.7

^{2}BMI = 29.41 kg/m

^{2}The above

BMI 29.41is more thanBMI 25.0. Hence the person is more FAT.This answer was edited.Body mass index also noted as BMI is your weight to height proportion.

First, find your height in meters. Stand along with your heels, your bottom and your shoulders touching the wall. Then, have a disciple measure your height at the crown of your head, in meters. the best thanks to do that is with the measuring instrument in your toolbox.

Then, you’ll need your weight in kilograms. If you only have a scale that measures pounds, that’s okay. you’ll be able to easily convert pounds to kilograms – just multiply your weight in pounds by .45. So if you weigh 68 kilograms.

Take your weight in kilograms and divide your weight by your height in meters. Then divide the solution by your height in meters again. That’s your BMI!

## BMI: Body Mass Index

Introduction: Body Mass Index or BMI is a ratio of a person’s mass to their height squared that helps assess if someone has an appropriate body weight for their height. It is calculated as the patient’s BMI divided by the person

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on a person’s weight and height. The BMI formula is: BMI = weight in kg / height in meters2.

Weight: Weight is measured in pounds or kilograms, depending on your preference.Height: Height can be measured in inches or centimeters, but inches are the most commonly used measurement for both men and women. Height should be measured barefoot with feet touching the floor without shoes on.## BODY MASS INDEX (BMI)

Calculate BMI as follows:BMI = weight in kilograms/height in meters

Example:A person who is 5.5 feet in height and weighs 150 lbs. has a BMI of 25.0 kg/m2.

BMI = weight in kilograms/height in meters

BMI = 150/5.5 = 33.33

The BMI (Body Mass Index) is a standardized formula used to determine whether an individual is overweight or not. It has been around for quite a while and has been the go-to method of determining a healthy weight.

In the past, BMI was used solely as a tool to determine how much extra weight you should lose in order to be considered “healthy.” However, the BMI can also measure fat percentage as well. This means that it can help people understand if they need to exercise more, change their eating habits, or work on other aspects of their health. For example, perhaps someone with a low BMI realizes they need to work on their self-control and eating habits in order to gain muscle mass.

The BMI is a weight-to-height ratio that is used to classify overweight and underweight people. The BMI is calculated by dividing weight in kilograms by height in meters squared.

BMI = (weight in kg) / (height in m)2For example:

BMI = (70kg) / (175cm)2 = 1.5

Answer:The formula for calculating body mass index isBMI=B x H x W x S (kg/m²).This formula tells the user how much body weight they are. BMI is a measure of the waist-to-hip ratio, which is a measure of the amount of fat in your waist and the amount of fat in your hips.
