Swimming is a fun and effective workout, but it can have some unexpected consequences if you aren’t careful! Ear infections are one of the most common side effects, and they are almost always caused by water getting trapped in your ear canal when you swim. While you can limit your risk of this happening by keeping your head above water when you swim, it’s not always possible to do this, which means that water can still get into your ears even when you don’t want it to. Luckily, there are some techniques that you can use to make sure that this doesn’t happen to you!

How To Get Water Out Of Ear After Swimming?

It can be painful to have water trapped in your ear, especially if you are swimming and get pushed underwater. Here’s how to quickly flush water out of your ear after swimming. It doesn’t matter if you got water in your ear by accident or on purpose!

      Let’s get started,

      1. Place a towel over a flat surface like a table and lie down with your affected ear facing up.
      2. Take another clean towel and place it under your neck to elevate it slightly.
      3. With one hand, pull back and downward on your outer ear (it’s not necessary to grab the cartilage).
      4. With your other hand, tip an inch or two of fluid from inside one of these bottles into each affected ear for about 20 seconds before discarding that bottle.
      5. Repeat until all excess water has been removed. Gently dry your ears with a soft cloth.
      6. Apply petroleum jelly around your ear canal to keep them lubricated and prevent future problems.

This should help avoid future infections as well as allow easier removal of excess water next time you go swimming! If you experience pain or bleeding after getting water in your ears, visit a doctor immediately to avoid infection and further complications.
