When you are around negative people, it is important to know how to respond. Negative people are typically characterized by:

      1. They are not really listening. They just want to talk.
      2. They are condescending and belittling.
      3. They are disrespectful.

This is one of the difficult conversations that we often have to have. How should we approach this situation? What do we say?

There are a few different things that you can do when someone says something negative, no matter what the situation is. One option is to tell them that you appreciate their feedback and would like to address it. Another option is to tell them that you disagree with their thoughts and are willing to discuss your perspective. A third option is to let them know how you feel and not respond at all.

3 Ways to Respond to a Negative Person

      1. Be Polite
      2. Be Direct
      3. Ignore the person

How to Keep Your Cool When Someone’s Being Negative

      1. Don’t take it personally.
      2. Don’t argue when you’re angry.
      3. Don’t feel guilty.
      4. Don’t be afraid to walk away.

In an office environment, it’s always easy to get caught up in negativity. It can be difficult to avoid the conversations that are going on around you and sometimes you just need a break.

While it is important for managers and employees to be able to separate themselves from their work, taking a break can make employees happier and more productive.

How to React When Someone’s Hurting Your Feelings

When someone has hurt your feelings, the first step to taking care of yourself is to take a deep breath. Maybe even a few deep breaths. After you’ve taken a few moments to calm down, you might want to ask yourself why they might have done that to you. It is always important to use your intuition and your emotions to work out what the other person doing it on purpose or if they just didn’t realize how much it would hurt you.

      • First, be aware of your feelings and your thoughts. Ask yourself, “How am I feeling about this?” “What are my thoughts about this?”
      • Next, decide how you want to react. There are a few things you can do:
      • – Identify the feelings that are causing you to react.
      • – Recognize that you are reacting strongly to what someone said or did.
      • – Try to find the person’s perspective so you can understand what they are thinking and

People tend to respond positively or negatively to feedback. This can be because of a positive person or an unpleasant one. The reason behind this is that we do not like people who make us uncomfortable, so we are more likely to respond negatively to feedback than positive feedback.

One of the most common ways to respond to negative comments or criticism is to ignore them. However, this is a very bad solution as it could lead to even worse things. Instead, we should take note that the best way of dealing with nasty people is by accepting their criticisms and criticism constructively.
