The Answer Is C
In a step-down transformer, there is a change of 15 A in the load current which results in a decrease in the supply current. This decrease is due to the fact that the primary current is 20 times greater than the secondary current. When 100 amps are flowing in the primary conductor it will result in a stepped-down voltage and current from primary to secondary.
Moreover, when voltage is stepped up, available current will be decreased. This is what happens when electricity is transferred from transmission lines to your home. A step-up transformer is one that increases voltage whereas a step-down transformer decreases voltage. Any change in current in the primary induces a current in the secondary. A transformer cannot raise or lower the voltage of a supply because there is no need to change the frequency.
