Answer is option C) i.e  Apsara

India’s first atomic reactor was Apsara.

Apsara was the first nuclear research reactor in Asia outside the then USSR. It was designed by the Bhabha Atomic Research Center and reached criticality on August 4, 1956. The reactor was inaugurated by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and was a pool-type reactor which used highly-enriched uranium as fuel. Apsara sent a clear message to the world that India had made significant progress in the field of nuclear science and technology. Apsara is the oldest of India’s research reactors and will be used extensively for research in nuclear physics.
