The SIMBEX series of exercises is an annual joint maritime bilateral exercise conducted between the Indian Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). Initiated in 1994, SIMBEX is the Indian Navy’s longest uninterrupted bilateral maritime exercise with any foreign navy.
This exercise exemplifies the high level of cooperation between India and Singapore in the maritime domain and highlights the commitment of both nations to maintaining peace and security in the region. The primary objective of SIMBEX is to enhance partnerships between India and Singapore.
The 29th edition of SIMBEX is being conducted in two phases – Harbour Phase at Visakhapatnam, India, and Sea Phase in the Andaman Sea. Indian Navy will host the bilateral exercise this year.
