The motto of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) is ‘Unity and Discipline‘. This motto was adopted on 23rd December 1957, after careful consideration and selection of the mottos suggested – ‘Duty and Discipline’, ‘Duty, Unity and Discipline‘, ‘Duty and Unity’, and ‘Unity and Discipline’. This motto is the guiding principle of the organization and all its cadets.
The aim of the NCC is to inculcate a sense of national pride, self-discipline, and respect for elders, as well as to develop character, courage, comradeship, leadership, secular outlook, the spirit of adventure, and ideals of selfless service amongst its cadets. By adhering to the motto of ‘Unity and Discipline‘, the NCC strives to be one of the greatest youth organizations in India.
