Answer: It means that you should always hope for the best, but never expect things to go your way. There’s a lot of pain and disappointment in life, and it’s important to maintain a positive outlook despite the setbacks. But at the same time, it’s naïve to think that everything will always work out in your favor. Life is full of surprises, both good and bad, so it’s important to be prepared for both.

This phrase means that you should always hope for the best, but never expect anything. It’s a way of living your life in both anticipation and hope, while maintaining an open mind about what might happen.

The idea is that when you’re expecting something – whether good or bad – it will probably disappoint you if it doesn’t come true. But by always hoping for the best without expecting anything in particular, you can keep yourself free from any letdown when things don’t go as planned. You also avoid getting your hopes up where they ultimately won’t be met, only to have them crushed later on when reality hits home.
Hope is important because without it we would have no reason to try to better ourselves.
