Maturity is the ability to behave in an appropriate manner for one’s age. Maturity can be measured by asking people close to you how they think others perceive them. The more mature someone appears, the higher their maturity score. Spiraling back around to personality theory during personality development, smarter and more mature children may find it smarter to discuss their feelings with each other instead of their parents (which would be called introspection). They not only get a better handle on themselves and learn about themselves better since they’re honest with themselves, but also because the parent-child relationship is too “mirroring”.

Maturity is the ability to cope up with the reality and circumstances. It is the process of becoming a well-rounded person by caring for the feelings of others and being responsible for one’s own actions. A mature adult knows that there are other people with feelings and expectations and is able on some level to understand and experience these feelings within themselves. While it is generally believed that maturity comes with age, it is really a way of thinking that affects all ages. While maturity cannot be defined in terms of age, it can be defined in terms of the level of emotional and social responsibility a person has towards themselves and others.

Maturity is the ability to behave in an appropriate, consistent and thoughtful manner. For example, it is mature to not need to always have the latest gadget in your hand. Maturity is the ability to accept disappointment, not to feel cheated and to continue to work hard. A mature person is able to control his feelings and deal with a problem in a logical manner. __% of the wealthiest people in this country are not just good at working hard but also very mature.
