      nswer:

one of the best ways to manage type-2 diabetes is by watching sugar and starch intakes, exercising regularly, taking regular walks through the neighborhood, ensuring that one’s blood sugar levels are monitored often.

Chinese medicine also suggests managing emotional stress and anxiety as a way of reducing stress hormones which can spike blood sugar levels. Acupuncture and herbs such as licorice and aloe may be used in addition to more conventional therapies, but these should be discussed with a qualified practitioner before use.

      1. Meditate – about 15 minutes per day (or even set an alarm to go off once or twice)
      2. Eat breakfast, eat healthy snacks in the afternoon, and eat dinner at home with whole foods prepared ahead of time
      3. Walk for one hour every day (a brisk walk is good!)
      4. Get plenty of sleep (set a bedtime alarm to help commit to this goal)
      5. Take long baths/showers – about 20 minutes max! Try alternating hot and cold water during each bath or shower, then stretch afterwards from the top of your head down to your toes for 20-30 seconds on each side! Let gravity pull away any tense muscles you have!
      6. Do a workout video for 20 minutes a day (even if the video is only 10 minutes) – it doesn’t have to be strenuous! Even Yoga works, as long as you move enough and breathe normally!
      7. Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day, ensure that you’re peeing clear!
      8. Eat organic as often as possible, especially when buying produce
      9. Find ways to reduce your stress, whether by meditating/praying/talking with a friend or going for a walk around your neighborhood…anything to relax yourself
      10. Choose whole foods over processed foods whenever possible
      11. Keep healthy snacks on hand
      12. Freeze smoothies in popsicle molds and freeze them overnight
      13. Keep your lip balm and eyeliner in the fridge for a cooling effect
      14. Cut out all fried foods/fried starches (like chips, fries, donuts) – these cause inflammation and increase fat around the stomach
      15. Eat only one large meal a day – say goodbye to three big meals!
      16. Make sure you’re eating something of substance every 3-4 hours
      17. Don’t eat past 7pm
      18. Watch portions
      19. Don’t go to sleep hungry
      20. Keep a water bottle next to you at all times so that you can drink often
      21. Stick with “real” food as much as possible
      22. Make veggies taste great
      23. If it comes from a box or is microwavable, put it back
      24. Drink a glass of water before every meal
      25. Try a juice cleanse for 3 days
      26. Eat whole foods that are at their peak
      27. Only eat when you’re hungry
      28. Keep sugar and refined carbs to a minimum
      29. Cut all soda from your diet
      30. Start your morning with lemon water
      31. No snacking between meals
      32. Restrain yourself from eating emotionally
      33. Don’t reward yourself after dinner by having desert
      34. Get support! Whether it’s hiring a nutritionist, joining an online community dedicated to health
