Fosamax and Actonel are both bisphosphonates, this is class of drugs that prevent bone resorption and also can increase BMD – bone mineral density in someone with osteoporosis. There are some differences between Fosamax and Actonel. Usual side effects of Actonel including hypertension – high blood pressure, diarrhea, and bladder infections. Usual side effects of Fosamax including jaw numbness, joint pain, swelling in the hands. Both that drugs can cause heartburn, back pain, a worsening of acid reflux, along with dizziness, gas & abdominal pains. 1 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerLeave an answerCancel reply Featured image Select file Browse Add a Video to describe the problem better.
