Answer: It is the kilogram meter squared per second squared (kg·m2/s2).
A moment of inertia is a four dimensional vector quantity that determines an object’s ability to resist changes in its rotational motion. An object with a high value of moment of inertia will be more difficult to get moving and stop than an object with lower values of moment of inertia. The SI unit of moment is kg·m2/s2, but if we don’t want to use kilograms or meters, we can also express it as newton-seconds squared (N·s), which cancel out and just leave newtons (N) times seconds (s).
