The true cause of stress is the pressure that you put on yourself. If you’re unhappy with your job or you dread Mondays, there is a strong likelihood that there is a stronger cause to your stress than the mere fact that you have to leave the house for eight hours.

Hiding under the covers all weekend and waiting for Monday to come just to turn around and go back into the same toxic environment isn’t the way to go.

If you want to prevent stress, then stress must be minimized. Here’s what you can do to reduce your stress:

    1. Maintain a positive mindset
    2. Be sure you do what you love and what you’re good at
    3. Be assertive and take charge
    4. Don’t let worries and negativity take over your day
    5. Take steps to give yourself some downtime. Taking a few minutes every day for some self-care may be enough to avoid emotional or physical breakdowns
