Answer: The stupidest thing I’ve done for love was to stay with a man who physically abused me. I thought that if I loved him enough and tried hard enough, he would change. But he didn’t, and it only got worse.

I finally left him after he broke my jaw. It wasn’t easy, but it was the best decision I ever made. If you’re in an abusive relationship, please get help. You deserve to be safe and happy.

Answer: I once quit my job and moved across the country to be with a guy who turned out to be emotionally abusive.

When you’re in love, it’s easy to overlook red flags or dismiss them as minor issues. But if you’re finding yourself doing things that you know aren’t right for you, or that go against your values, then it’s time to take a step back and really ask yourself why.

Love is wonderful, but it’s not worth sacrificing your own happiness or well-being. If you’re in an unhealthy or abusive relationship, please reach out for help. There are people who care about you and want to support you!
