The correct answer is option C) i.e Kiran Bedi
The first female IPS officer in India was Yamin Hazarika. She was born in Assam and led a life almost like that of an officer from her birth till her death. She was the first woman to join the Indian Police Service (IPS) and the first post office in India was built in Assam, where she was the Inspector of Police Services (I.P.S.).
Yamin Hazarika was an inspiration to many women with her progressive outlook and showed that women can achieve anything they set their mind to. She also set an example to other women who wanted to join the IPS, as she was the first woman to do so in Assam. Her legacy lives on in the form of Anna Rajan George, who is the first woman Assistant Superintendent of Police in the state.
