why don’t Americans like to use the word “dashing”? It’s more of a Britishly used word, ain’t it not?

Well if they don’t they are missing out on one of our most popular Christmas songs ever hey:
JINGLE BELLS! 🎿🎅👼🤶🧑🎄🎄
“Dashing through the snow
In a one-horse open sleigh
All the fields we go
Laughing all the way” ☃️.
Ps. Sorry “The Football God.” Just noticed your answer was about the same thing as mine. Great minds think alike lol. 🖖🙂👍
It’s not that Americans “don’t like” to use the word. They simply don’t use it.
Same as we don’t say “multiple times” but “several times”.
To those who aren’t sure, “dashing” is an adjective – a little old-fashioned these days but NOT “snobbish” – meaning something like a combination of elegance and daring.
